Our Acrylic doors are MDF door with 2-4mm acrylic bonded layer which is applied to all sides. The doors are then laser edged to create a seamless finish. We work with Niemann and Rauvisio (Rehau) as our main suppliers of acrylic faced doors. Each of them has their unique range of finishes that offer anything from high gloss or matte to more contemporary glass effects, concrete and metal looks. For more information please see the links to their brochures on our downloads page. |
Price wise acrylic doors do have a higher price tag attached; this is mainly down to the base cost of the materials being higher. The upshot is that these doors can be customised in to weird and wonderful shapes and sizes. Also new range of decors and finishes allows achieving great final results. The latest release is Anti Finger Print (AFP) acrylic door from Niemann - they leave no marks or grease on surface.
Durable
Acrylic doors will withstand knocks and bumps to a higher degree and are alot harder to scratch. Therefore, if you think the kitchen is going to take a lot of wear & tear, acrylic is probably your best option.
In terms of colours, they don’t come in an infinite range like their painted counterparts, although there is still plenty to choose from and the range of decors is expanding all the time giving you options that are just impossible to achieve with other materials which gives a big benefit in favour of acrylic.
